In
the 21st century there is no more important skill in business
than our ability to learn effectively.
Our approach to learning design is based on the use of cutting
edge adult learning principles. This helps your people to
understand, remember and apply the skills in the workplace.
This drives increased performance in the workplace.
Learn, Do, Reflect
We believe that learning outcomes are enhanced when participants
have an opportunity to endeavour to apply the skills learnt
and reflect upon the results achieved. We structure programs
to allow as many opportunities for participants to try using
the relevant skills both during and after sessions. For this
reason wherever possible we design programs as a series of
modules with breaks in between so participants can apply the
skills. Learning is viewed as a process rather than an event.
We design programs that provide maximum opportunities for
participants to learn, do and reflect.
The Role of Measurement
It has been said that you ‘cannot manage what you cannot
measure’. Recent studies have concluded that billions
of dollars of training expenditure is wasted each year due
to programs with no objectives or poorly defined objectives.
Before commencing any program it is imperative to begin with
the end in mind. How will you know if the program has worked?
We work with clients to create a range of options designed
to produce Measurable Results.
Participant Engagement
Some possible examples include completing on the job tasks
after the program has finished, mind mapping key content areas,
and testing participants for content knowledge and revisiting
areas where gaps exist.
